Brentwood Baptist Church is a community of Christians who live to worship God, to grow in our understanding and experience of God, to share the good news about Jesus Christ and to work for the common good.

At Brentwood Baptist Church we believe in:

· The one true God who lives eternally in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

· The love and grace of God the creator, ruler, redeemer and judge of the world.

· The divine authority of the Holy Bible, which is the written word of God.

· The Lord Jesus Christ, God’s only son who was born of the virgin Mary and lived with us on earth, truly divine and truly human, yet without sin.

· Christ’s death on the cross, paying the price of our sins, defeating evil and reconciling us to God.

· The dignity of all people, created male and female in God’s image to love, be holy and care for creation, yet needing forgiveness as we fall short of God’s standard.

· Christ’s resurrection after death, his ascension to heaven and his reign as the only Saviour of the world and mediation on our behalf.

· The Holy Spirit who leads us to repentance, comforts and guides us, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.

· The church, the body of Christ, as a community of believers, given life and gifts by the Spirt to worship God and share their faith.

· The glorious second coming of Christ who will judge the living and the dead, bring eternal life to those who have believed in Him as their Saviour, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
